THE STORY

In the late 1980s, Michael Laerza, a haunted, alcoholic drifter with a mysterious curse, wanders through life burdened by voices in his head and the power of death in his touch. His lonely existence shifts when he encounters Moira “Mo” O’Reilly, a free-spirited single mother, and her young son Brady, whose fragile health is shadowed by a string of miraculous survivals.

As Michael secretly follows them, he is drawn into their world of resilience, playfulness, and unconditional love. For the first time, the tortured man, who carries the burden of claiming lives, feels the warmth of belonging and the possibility of redemption. Yet the presence of Samual, a suave and menacing figure who seems to embody death’s authority, reminds Michael of the inescapable truth: his gift is also a curse, and if he refuses to fulfill it, others will suffer.

As Michael grows closer to Mo and Brady, he must confront his tragic past, his role in the cycle of life and death, and ultimately choose whether to continue being death’s instrument or risk everything for the fragile beauty of living.

A poetic, mystical road story filled with humor, heartbreak, and wonder, Final Touch is a meditation on grief, redemption, and the eternal dance between life and death.

PRODUCTION TIMELINE

Aug 2025-Jan 2026: Development

This is the foundation of the project, where the creative vision is transformed into a viable production plan. During development, the script is finalized, rights are secured, budgets are prepared, and key talent are attached. The goal of development is to create a strong, marketable package that attracts financing and sets the project up for success.

Jan 1-Feb 15, 2026: Pre-Production

Pre-production is the organizational phase that prepares the film for shooting. During this stage, we lock the shooting script, hire department heads, scout and secure locations, cast supporting roles, and design the production schedule. Sets, costumes, and props are created, while production insurance and legal clearances are obtained. Investors’ funds at this stage directly ensure the production runs efficiently and on schedule.

Feb 15-Mar 20, 2026: Production

Production is where the script comes to life on camera. Over a carefully planned shoot schedule, the cast and crew collaborate to capture performances, visuals, and sound. This is the most resource-intensive phase, requiring coordination across camera, lighting, sound, art, wardrobe, and transportation departments. Investor contributions during production cover cast salaries, crew wages, equipment rentals, and day-to-day operations that ensure the film is completed at the highest quality.

Mar-July 2026: Post-Production

Post-production is where the film is shaped into its final form. This stage includes editing, sound design, music scoring, color grading, and visual effects. For investors, post-production is the stage that ensures the film is polished, market-ready, and competitive for distribution, festivals, and sales opportunities. If we make money - you make money!
